If you want to know the best clubs in Tallinn to suite all tastes and get some local insider knowledge of the Tallinn club scene read on…

1. The first Tallinn club is Cat House
If you are after glamour, the club we would recommend is Cat House which is located in Viru Keskus, right in the centre of Tallinn in the main shopping centre (the exact address is Viru väljak 4/6). It is very easy and convenient to get to by public transport and within walking distance from Tallinn old town.

This club boasts 2 bars and 2 dance floors, all in a splendour of luxury design. The club has a general atmosphere of beauty! There is a dress code, so make sure you have your sexy attire on (evening dresses for the girls and button shirts / shoes for the guys). Some weekend there is live music so you may also get to hear some local talent.

2. Another club in Tallinn with a fantastic interior as well as great music is Bon Bon
This club is also located in the centre of town (Mere pst, 6E). It was once an exclusive members only venue, but is now open for all, provided you dress appropriately. If you like chandeliers, red velvet, lots of gold and well dressed, trendy people, plus great music, this is the place for you. Our Tallinn guide wouldn’t be complete without it!

If you want some great accommodation for your Tallinn holiday, ideally located for all the best clubs, remember to check out our affordable luxury apartments.

3. If you prefer a more mainstream Tallinn club, you can try Venus, (Vana-Viru 14). This place also has great decor with white marble statues, around which you can watch exotic dancers showing off their skills. The style is renaissance bordello.

Expect red carpets, green jungle plants and nude statues of Venus towering over the dance floor. High, brocaded ceilings add to the bordello effect. Your fellow Venetians are generally a bit older than at some of the other Tallinn clubs although those love goddesses in g-strings gyrating seductively on raised plinths mean they’re just as sexually charged. Certainly an Estonian experience you’ll remember.

4. If you want to try something very authentic, you should go to Kuku. This club is located at Vabaduse Valjak 8 and is mainly visited by locals. It is very liberal and you can meet people of all ages and from all different backgrounds: bohemian, local celebrities, artsy.

It has theme nights for music from 80s, 90s, karaoke or even stand up comedy. This club is quite small and designed to match the spirit of Soviet times. If you want a little taste of local life, this is definitely a club to visit and was an essential entry in our Tallinn guide. Kuku is located on the edge of the Old Town and is also very easy to get to.

5. The next in our guide of Tallinn clubs is Hollywood, based at Vana-Posti 8. It is one of the biggest clubs in Tallinn and very popular with the locals as well as with visitors to Tallinn. Located in a former cinema in a baroque building in the Old Town, it has a huge dance floor that is ringed by bars on two floors, like a Roman arena.

The VIP bar at the back attracts moneyed movers in designer suits and dresses. A woman wearing next to nothing sits knitting or reading in a glass booth above the DJ console and the whole effect is one of decadence. This venue generally attracts a younger crowd.

Been searching the web for some good info on Tallinn clubs- thanks for this, looks good. Know any good bars as a pre club warm up?

Hell Hunt is a good, lively and very popular bar you can try before hitting one of the Tallinn clubs. Plus it is on the same road (Pikk) in the old town as our accommodation, if you are looking for a great place to stay :-)

I was in Tallinn in July and stayed in one of your apartments, very nice :-) Just wanted to say that your review of Tallinn clubs is spot on. Wish I had read this before going as visited lots of clubs before finding the good ones… all of which are on your list. Haven’t been to Venus club or Kuku yet, so next time… Thanks for the info.
